All company documents, spreadsheets, presentations, photos, etc. are stored in Google Drive.
With each user we add to the GSuite account for Sandhills Development, 30GB of Google Drive storage is provided. This drive account is accessible by visiting:
You can use your Sandhills provided email address to login to this drive. Anytime you are going to create or view a document provided by the organization, please be sure to login with the appropriate account. This offers us many benefits:
- Access control is built into the entire drive from the ground up. We can share with specific people within the organization as well as the organization as a whole.
- In the event that an account needs to be deactivated, deleted, or recreated, we can move documents between user ownership without data loss.
- Helps with predicting billing and future storage usage. We can manage the billing and storage from within the GSuite admin panel, and therefore upgrade accounts when necessary.
In addition to files, we should be using Google Calendar for meetings that we hold internally as well as with potential customers/clients/partners. This way we prevent people from having access to your personal accounts, allowing you to have that separation.
