Parental leave

Each employee is granted 8 weeks of paid time off upon the arrival of a new child. Additional paid leave may be taken without penalty if desired. For greater than 8 weeks, communicate the request to your manager.

Paternity / Maternity leave may be taken consecutively or split into segments of 1-5 days at a time.
Leave may be taken up to 7 days before the birth of the child, or placement in the case of adoption.

In cases of foster care, employees may take up to the full 8 weeks of paid leave at times of their choosing, over the course of the year in which a placement has occurred.
